Hi everyone.  We’ve just touched down in Singapore after a fantastic flight.  The check in staff in Melbourne were really helpful and from there our service just kept getting better and better.  The plane was only half full so there was plenty of room to spread out.  The Qantas cabin crew treated us like royalty all the way.  All the kids watched movies, relaxed and sometimes slept.  We had clear skies all the way, giving us a fantastic bird’s eye view as we flew over Uluru and Kata Tjuta (The Olgas).  There was no turbulence and we had one of the smoothest landings I can recall.  When we left the Melbourne check in and again when we left the plane, Qantas staff came over and told me we should be proud of our kids for the way in which they conducted themselves.  It’s been a good start to the trip, no doubt.  Thanks to all the Mums, Dads, brothers and sisters who saw us off at the airport.
