What to Bring
Clothes
- Appropriate number of changes of clothes – refer to itinerary, as we are in school for four days wearing our tour polo shirts, some opportunities for getting laundry done will exist in the hotels
- 1 set clothes for cool weather – refer to temperature above, little chance of rain, slightly cooler temperature than Melbourne predicted
- At least 1 set of long sleeve sweater or shirt and long trousers
- Light comfortable sandals or thongs
- Flip-flops or slippers
- Sports shoes comfortable for walking (perhaps spare shoelaces if they are well worn)
- Sports clothes
- Nice clothes for farewell dinner
- Hat
- Old clothes for Holi festival celebrations – they may have to be thrown away afterwards!
Toiletries
- Sun cream
- Insect repellent
- Toiletries (toothbrush, soap etc.)
- Personal medication
- Hydralyte or similar for dehydration, diarrhea tablets, Panadol, travel sickness tablets etc (recommended depending on personal travel history)
Other
- Small backpack/daypack (for trekking, days out in city etc.)
- Water bottle
- Small torch
- Spending money (for trips into the city, shopping etc.) ($150-250 would be ample)
- Book to read
- Travel journal and writing materials
- Camera (optional)
- ID card (Garry to distribute in India), passport and tickets (these will be collected and stored safely)
- Alarm clock (perhaps on mobile phone)
